Having said all that, Far Cry 3 is a lot of fun, has a long campaign by the standards of other FPS' and at least tries to have somewhere deep storyline.North Island, Orphan Point (after you've completed the "WANTED Dead Quest", the Path of the Hunter quest for the Black Panther is located in the nearby shack after you have killed the target pirate. 118 Ubisoft initially planned to make a direct-narrative sequel to Far Cry 3, which involved the return of Jason as the game's protagonist and other supporting characters and the resurrection of Vaas. There are some parts of the game that are not so good the story, whilst ambitious, falls short of it's own ambitions and feels a little forced, the main character's personal journey does not really feel plausible, the guns all feel very similar and lack realism, there is not real feeling of survivalism as money is plentiful and you can unlock all the weapons without having to pay for them. Many features from Far Cry 3, such as the presence of towers and wildlife hunting, were later used in other Ubisoft non-Far Cry games.
Aside from the capital, Esperanza, which we'll talk about later, there are three main territories in Yara: Madrugada, Valle De Oro, and El Este. From the tiny Libertad Island you will quickly be given free reign to travel anywhere in Yara. Travelling around the game world is far less tedious than previously, missions are far less repetitive, there is a much wider range of things to do than in previous games and the story is a lot tighter. Once you leave Isla Santuario, the starting island of Far Cry 6, the game really starts to open up. While it has many similar features to Far Cry 2, this time around those features have been improved and added to.
